Hilarious I say Gators!

No, it was the butler and the meat hammer in the kitchen. Or the candle stick.

Let's just say he's not guilty of killing Petito...he sure is making it look as though he is.

I agree. On face value he is not helping himself.

But regardless, we have courts for a reason.

If Vegas put odds on reality, my bet would be he did it. But this isn't a casino.

Here is an article well worth reading.

Re the bit you quoted, it's a simple fact that humanity's a bunch of inverterate rubberneckers, and the more salacious and risqué the story, the better. This type of story's always been popular, and is not a recent phemonenom.

A truly civilized society also are also not vigilantes.

If you want to argue fixing the system that is one thing.

But the old axiom "It is better to let the guilty go free, than to wrongfully convict the innocent", I will always stand by.

I sincerely warn everyone, that "in the moment" is not as important as long term stability. I get the anger and want of justice, but only case by case in the moment. The problem with sedentary mindset, is that innocent people can get caught up in bad logic.

In this particular case, it DOES seem obvious. But that does not mean anyone should skip due process.

I am NOT defending this guy. I am merely saying that in the past, and in the future, it is always prudent and will always be prudent to value the process.

I hated that OJ and Casey got off. But that is the system we have. It is far better than the court of religion that Saudi Arabia and Iran and now Taliban controlled Afghanistan.

I'd bet my life this guy killed her. But that is not for me to decide.

Read this slowly so you can maybe understand it...no one is saying to deny the guy due process...at least not anyone on this thread.

Show me where I named a particular person posting here of accusing that NAMED person of denying due process.

I was making a general statement.

We all agree that due process is a must, don't we?

You have non-violent felonies? Fascinating.
