Thomas Aquinas
How can we live in harmony? First we need to know we are all madly in love with the same God.
Thomas Aquinas.

Excellent quote, I just had to post it.

Basically sums up the world we live in today and the problems facing us.

RE: Thomas Aquinas
I'm sure his audience was Christian. One thing he did teach was unity within the body of Christ, so it doesn't actually include non-believers. Ergo, it has less to do with the entire world and more about Christiandom.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

He may have been talking about Christiandom, but I beleive it can be nicely applied to fagemented nature of modern relgion around the World today. Most of which is religious in one form or another.

Apparently not. The Christians, Jews and Muslims seem to be aware of the fact that they are all madly in love with the same God, and they have gone right on killing each other for centuries.

What they don't seem to realize is that it is individuals who crave power that are exploiting their religious fervor and setting them against each other.

There are a few more religions in the World than these commercialised three. Aslo, I care to differ that many people within these groups understand or accept that there is only one universal god.

Some day far in the future some archaeologist may find a copy of Sarah Palin's book and conclude that she was a great thinker for the sole reason that her book survived the centuries.

Aquinas was a catholic putz.

Anyone who has actually experienced psychology of love knows those in love with the same person do not live in harmony with eachother. It typical of christian presumption that a clutch of child molesters who tries to pass themselves off as sanctified stunted virgins should also presume to speak of how people in love should behave.
