I like the current system, because every so often I enter into a thread from a few pages back and answer posts as I go along. The post aggregation system cleans this up for me quite a lot, as otherwise it looks like I just spewed all over the thread.
In fact I'm developing a habit of self aggregating on other fora that don't do this.
