Japan Arrests Two Americans For Being Stupid

Quote:Two American nationals were arrested in Japan after a stunt in which one entered the monkey enclosure at a zoo where a baby macaque named Punch became a global internet sensation this year, police said Monday.

One of the men, who identified himself as a 24-year-old college student, was arrested Sunday after climbing over a fence and dropping into a dry moat surrounding the monkey exhibit at Ichikawa City Zoo outside Tokyo.

The other man, who was filming the act, identified himself as a 27-year-old singer.

Images on social media showed a person scaling the fence in a costume that included a smiley face head with sunglasses, prompting the monkeys to scatter.

The men did not come close to the animals, and were quickly apprehended by zoo officials, said an official at Ichikawa Police who spoke with AFP on a traditional condition of anonymity.

The two men face charges of forcible obstruction of business, which they refute, the police official said.

If only they had entered the crocodile exhibit.

He’s clearly not wearing the most important piece of his gear.

Florida Man, Law Enforcement Edition

Quote:Months after a woman in Florida was pulled over and cited for allegedly driving while holding a phone in her missing right hand, the traffic citation has been dismissed.

The traffic stop went viral after Katie Thomas, the woman who was cited in the incident, posted video of the stop on social media.

Body camera footage from the February traffic stop, obtained by ABC News, shows a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Deputy pulling over Thomas.
"You drove past me holding the phone with your right hand, manipulating that phone," the deputy says in the video.

That's when Thomas holds up her right arm, revealing she doesn't have her right hand.

She laughs and says, "Obviously not."

She then adds, "So you want to just call this a day?"

The deputy says he thought he saw her holding the phone in her right hand.
Despite her denials, she was given a $116 traffic citation for texting while driving.

Palm Beach County court records indicate the citation was dismissed Tuesday at the request of the sheriff's office for "insufficient evidence."

Candace Owens is going to Russia. She is going there as a Christian because Russia is very Christian country, so she will rejuvenate her faith in Russian Orthodox cathedrals.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
