Tell me you've never read Plato without saying you've never read Plato.

And how many blatant logical errors did Plato commit?

He thought that physical education was important, which placed him WAY ahead of his time. And, now, just look at Us!

His 'Republic' was a good example of an oppressive state.

It's worth bearing in mind that Plato was often not advocating specific things so much as taking the ideas for a walk.

Often true, but it is also clear he wanted a philosopher king. Given his family history, I would guess the preferred philosopher was himself.

I haven't read much Plato. Would you please elaborate on how LinuxGal's comment betrays lack of knowledge of Plato?
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

he wanted sparta.   if he had his way we would still be a few tens of millions  bullying a few hundred million, like modern world in miniature, except neither the few tens of millions nor the few hundreds of millions could ever conceive or an existence less short and brutish than that of middle iron age, and unspoil by art, literature or poetry.

you dropped a name, and it fell, hit the ground and shattered.   people look at you the way they look at any clumsy person.   but really you didn’t drop the name out of clumsiness.   you dropped it in a minor tantrum because no one seem to adore you for the limitless awesomeness you attribute to yourself.
