Favorite horror movie
What is your favorite horror movie of all time? Is it an older film from the 60s or 70s, or is it a modern movie? I've been a fan of anything dark or evil for as long as I can remember. I started with the Universal monster flicks and it just went from there. I love anything from Bride of Frankenstein to Terrifier ll.

Blood and gore doesn't bother me, I can watch anything and have no problem sleeping at night, but it's definitely not a requirement. I'm not sure I can pick just one, but there are a few that rank at the very top of my list.
Here's a short list,
The Witch
Hereditary
Both Terrifier movies
The Haunting(the original version)
Sleepy Hollow
Every Vincent Price/E.A. Poe film from the 60s.
The Thing
The Evil Dead trilogy
I could list another 20 movies, but you get the point. What's your favorite?

It's one of those found footage films. It is frighteningly realistic.

Groundhog Day, 1993. I find the idea of living the same day over and over again to be absolutely terrifying.

"The Last Man on Earth". Vinnie is in a zombie apocalypse. They come out at night. He falls asleep in his wife's tomb and has to get away from the walking dead. Does he?

I was 13 when I saw it and had to walk home, in the dark, through a cemetery. "You, too, will believe a boy can fly!"

That movie was run cold in a lot of places. The Midwest boys were rather shocked when they found out the down low.

I'm a fan of horror, but I don't have a favorite.

I'm not particularly big on genre, but my all-time favourite film has been considered plenty disturbing:

And here's a list that I decided to limit to movies my local library shelves under horror:
  • Army of Darkness
  • Carnival of Souls
  • Donnie Darko
  • Drag Me to Hell (But that's mostly because the waifu stars in it)
  • Eraserhead
  • Evil Dead 2
  • Funny Games
  • Get Out
  • The Haunting
  • Lighthouse
  • Menu
  • Midsommar
  • mother!
  • Repo: The Genetic Opera
  • Rosemary's Baby
  • The Shining (My favourite of the list)
  • The Thing 1982
  • Wicker Man 1973
  • Willy's Wonderland
  • The Woman
  • Zombi (2)
And a few Gimmes:
  • Angel Heart (Filed under Drama, despite some really fucking horrific shit, up to and including a man... fulfilling the promise Scorsese made in his cameo in Taxi Driver)
  • Come and See (If they had a copy, it would almost certainly be filed under World: Russian because, well, it's in Russian)
  • I Spit on Your Grave 1978 (They don't have a copy)
