SATANISM

RE: SATANISM
The Grand Nudger:
I think it's pretty rough to allow other people to define you as a thing, even though you're not that thing, to the point that you describe yourself as that thing.

What if you are just a thing?

Politically, I'm a conservative, which apparently is rare for someone with my beliefs, or lack thereof. I've been a metal music fan since the mid 70s, and as I've gotten older, my tastes in music haven't "mellowed" like most older peoples have. Mine have been going in the opposite direction for the past 20 or so years now. I've grown to love the darker, heavier, more evil forms of metal music. I listen to it several hours a day, it helps keep me sane in this fucked up world we're living in.
I've never been arrested or committed any crimes, I was too busy trying to support our family for over 35 years, until I was forced to retire in 2015. I've never consumed alcohol, smoked, or used drugs either.
I'm a "normal" retired 64 year old who loves American muscle cars and trucks, collects Hot Wheels cars with our 6 year old grandson, and is a lifelong metal head. The fact that I look like a serial killer that no one fucks with is a plus. As long as our grandkids aren't afraid of me(they're not) I'm happy being different.

Yeah man Whitechapel is extremely evil and scary. Better not fuck with those guys.

Whitechapel, seriously. I haven't seen or heard a single song from those clowns.

I am wife, mother, grandmother (GiGi), and tattooed.  I just don't introduce myself as tattooed.  But, you do you.

Just trying to understand why you lead with it here.  Husband is tattooed...all my kids are tattooed and I am sure once the oldest granddaughter hits 18, she will be too.  So far she has had to settle for piercings.  It's just a thing, doesn't define any of us.

I kinda have to side with this. I am a metalhead, I paint my nails black. I wear band t-shirts (black) and black jeans, spikes, earrings and rings, battle jacket everywhere I go. I even have a tattoo. Yet any post that I have here were It's not relevant, I don't mention it, similar goes for real life. And that's because I know that I love these things and I choose to express myself through how I look. It's not for the people around me, I don't care how they feel by the way I look, it's for me.

Other than that, I don't know.

I get it though. I think why you mentioned it allot here is because you don't really have allot a places outside of our circles to express it through dialogue. I on the other hand have learned to live with that mainly becuase I don't care to felx. I have my circles, it's enough. But it is nice talking to one of us in the wild. I'd be lying if I said I didn't like talking to you. It's the old human error of wanting to be social on a deeper level and we, as humans, try to achieve this through flexing.

There is a Membership Photos thread where you can post a pic of yourself tho.

As in relation of this thread, since it's supposed to be about Satanism, I do love satanic imagry, satanic black metal, gore, horror and given the chance I would actually join the Satanic Temple but I still woudn't identify as Atheist Satanist. Why? Because I would feel silly calling myself a Satanist.

Let's be honest. They're all gray. Laundy Detergent hates black. While I do wash my band clothes by hand, only recently I found out that you're supposed to wash anything black with fabric softner only.

I happened to be wearing one of my more blatant concert shirts(Septic Flesh) that day, and as I was looking around the store, an older woman saw what I was wearing. As she was walking away from me, I heard her say "apparently they let the Devil shop here" to herself out loud.
I thought it was funnier than hell.
I list myself as an Atheist/Satanist because like you said, some people would consider me a Satanist, depending on what their definition of a Satanist is. Simply not believing any of their bullshit is enough sometimes.

I feel like I should link a story I posted in the Membership Photos thread here. https://atheistforums.org/thread-49-post...pid2151051

I'm just being myself, that's it. I have dozens of concert shirts that are over 10 years old that are still black. The trick is to wash them in warm water, not hot, and NEVER put them in the dryer, that's what destroys them. I put them on a hanger and let them air dry. That's why I still have some shirts that are over 30 years old still.

It is cool to communicate with other people who have the same interests, that's why we're here on this forum. I'd consider posting some photos of my ink. Has there been a tattoo thread in the past?

There's not been a tattoo thread in a long time.  Feel free to start one.

Oh okay, so you're just a poser then. Because Whitechapel's songs are all about hating God, corruption of the soul, killing people, that sort of thing. Why wouldn't you be into all that?

^You can be a metalhead, satantist and atheist and not like white chapel. Those aren't mutually exclusive things.

Same, cept I wash them in room temprature water. The caribbean is warm enough soo. The way that I air dry them is I literally put them back on the hanger and clip the hanger on the line with them. That way there're no clipmarks. I do have to use multiple clips on the hanger tho. And Yeah only a noob puts printed tees in the dryer. I use to make them so I know how much a dryer and an iron will ruin it.

RE: SATANISM
I wash my T-shirts and husband's inside out. It helps prolong the image(s) on the shirt by it not rubbing on the agitator.

Husband wears mostly black. I used to but with dogs and the cat, the black shirts really show the fur. I tend to wear blues or tie dye...they seem to help hide the fur that I don't catch before putting a shirt on.

Same here.

I love how this thread moved from Satanism to Laundry. I guess it's only fitting that I post this:

What if all this is just a simulation.
