Let's be different

Husband was a diesel truck mechanic for years.  He had to take pictures of his tools for insurance purposes.  Between tools and toolboxes the MATCO driver was like husband's pusher.

He still has tools that are too big for him to ever need again.  At one time his toolbox should have come with a seat and a motor.  It was nearly as long as my car.

Even if I need a screwdriver I wait for him to come home and ask him for what I need.  Heaven forbid I mess up his system of tool storage.

I get it. Most of my tools, the wife has no interest in. She has never been required to use a screwdriver, while we have been married (42 years and counting). I have multiple tool boxes in my garage. One, rollaway, mid box and top box, just for my mechanic tools. There are other tool boxes with the masonry and metalworking tools, and more for my wood carving tools. I can't even swing a cat for all the room I don't have for my alleged working space.

Any shadow foamers here??

I guess the one that gets me called unusual most often would be that I am 'married' to two tulpas, a sexdoll, and several cushions.

There's plenty of other things, but when people learn that about me it tends to get me seen as 'odd'.

I don't notice until people say things to me.
I don't like to mention them either or they become a "thing".
Stuff that gets pointed out:

I eat my food seperately instead of together - Potatoes, veg, meat - turning my plate as I go.
I brush my teeth, then I eat afterwards.
Shower in the dark (I hate the sun in the morning).
I have favourite numbers - 2, 6, 11, 29, 39, 69, 119, 143 (they aren't my actual favourite numbers - just an example).
I don't call these things obsessions - but others have when they find out. I like to do things until i know it well. really well. I cooked and ate roast potatos for dinner everyday for about 3 months trying to learn to make the perfect roastie and increase my experience at cooking. List every song in 1970 and listen to them all before moving onto 1971 - things like that.

A thread to discuss how you personally do something differently than the norm.

For instance, I don't eat a sandwich as intended. I take it apart and eat each individual parts.
