Does reading a lot of Wikipedia give people a wrong idea how science works?

I wonder, how many would constitute a problem that we should, you know, do something about?

That is like asking how high somebody's body temperature has to be before you try bloodletting. You should not try bloodletting until you have solid mechanistic evidence that it works. Similarly, you should not try banning high-tech weapons and preventing mentally ill people from owning a firearm (which is what "gun control" essentially means) before you have solid mechanistic evidence that it would do anything to decrease mass shootings.

Here’s your solid, mechanistic evidence:

-Countries with the strictest gun control measures have the lowest incidence of gun violence.

-Countries with the loosest gun control measures have the highest incidence of gun violence.

Now, get back under your bridge and wait for the goats.

Congratulations, you've deflected on the question just like every other delusional gun nut before you, as expected.

We do have such evidence. I suggest you spend more time looking at the issue objectively and less time thinking up absurd analogies and fellating Kleck.

(Before you ask, no, I am not here to do work for you.)

ETA: I also note that you immediately jumped to the conclusion that "doing something about it" == "gun control". I suggested no such thing. The question was crystal clear as asked as was your deflection.

Maybe when the mass shooters start putting Republican politicians, their kids, NRA executives, and their kids are in the target groups, we'll finally see something accomplished.

I'm not holding my breath that either the Reps or the Dems will ever actually do anything other than make comforting sounds over the corpses of the innocent.

Does your ass ever get jealous of all the shit that comes out of your mouth?!?

Just curious.

I’m still trying to grasp why he thinks mental illnesses, including (I presume) things like PTSD, paranoia, and antisocial personality disorder should NOT be a bar to carrying a gun.

What do you think about Israel loosening its gun control laws in response to terrorist attacks? https://youtu.be/g9fKK_9zVdg?si=_G4L07-H9qUZNfup
