Food addiction

But food is one thing that is really slowing me down (figuratively and literally) in life. I can't just "stop" eating, I mean I literally can't, feeling hungry is absolutely one hundred percent unacceptable for me, if I am hungry, I must eat, period. I won't be able to focus on anything else until I've eaten. And then when I do eat, I feel a sense of relief, almost like being "happy" I guess? Not that I've ever felt happy in my whole life, so I'm not really sure what genuine happiness is supposed to feel like, but maybe this is close. But that brief sense of relief is not substantial, as not being able to eat makes me sad. Are any of you dealing with something similar? I fucking love chocolate candy bars and pizza......

Good luck to you. Have you tried hypnosis to convert that urge into something more constructive? Doctors gave me a shit ton of morphine back in the day, I got better but the jones was still there. A hypnotist, experimental with the Navy hospitals tried sublimating the urge. It worked, but I was luck I didn't run into Jane Fonda IRL or I'd have gone to jail. Doh Hehe

I have a money addiction as well. Just didn't want to make another thread about it. I want to have so much money that I can afford to buy any kind of food I want, as well as every video game I want to play.

If it keeps your bullshit down, I'm cool.

I don't eat candy, so that's a(nother) you-problem.

Try a Three Musketeers, it's got fluffy chocolate that makes it feel like you're eating a chocolate cloud.

Gosh, why did I never in my fifty-seven years think of that?

Oh, wait, I did. I just don't like sweets, especially, the cloying, vomity sort. Your mileage clearly varies.

RE: Food addiction
I go through times where I don't give a fuck what I eat. Like if I'm just stressed and don't have it in me to keep up a good diet or if I just generally don't give a fuck that day.
Overall in general I'm always on some sort of dieting attempt at not casually eating everything on sight just for the compulsion of it.
I do activities that make me aware of any extra weight I carry, like climbing and hiking.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

I wouldn't believe that Ahriman had a food addiction even if he sat in front of me and ate a giraffe in aspic.
