Tablecloths: Yea or Nay?

There were also multiple cloths for every table - seasonal cloths, holiday cloths, special ones for Sundays and saint’s days. It was a fabric nightmare.

Same here. Her everyday one for the family had some kind of plastic coating over fabric that she could wipe down. But whenever we had company out would come the cloths,  with matching napkins and napkin rings. She also had a thing about coasters, some wood, some glass.

My mom crocheted doilies. Those were everywhere but on the food table(s).

And so it was
we forgot why we did what we did
so we stopped doing it

I heard mention of a tea "mug"
Whatever the shape of the thing you drink tea from is a CUP!
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

None of the above.

We always use one while eating on it, to protect the very fine wood surface.

When not actively in use, the leaves are removed, the ends are dropped, and it's a beautiful natural wood art piece.
Disappointing theists since 1968!
