- As far as I know, Norse Sagas were actually mostly oral traditions that were put into written format by Christian monks and missionaries. The Druid culture in Western Europe was also said to be a highly spiritual / mystical type of tradition that the Romans worked so hard to erase. Also Egyptian mythology is full of this highly allegoric images that almost always include a story within a story. I see it as hidden messages with strong meanings.
I mean look at south-America, look at what is happening here or in the US or even in Europe with populist powers rising to power etc.
So in a highly subjective manner, I hear the voice of ancient people reassuring me about the way all of this is supposed to happen.
