Welcome to the forum.

So if you think that god is a type of natural force in the universe, which doesn't have any personalities, then I think that makes you a deist.

But then again, there's really not much of a difference between an atheist and a deist since they can both agree that there is a single ultimate cause behind the universe which is impersonal.

So if evolutionary theory is interesting to you, do you think it is true?

Quote:Of course there is a god. That is undeniable.
I beg to differ on this statement. I deny the existance of god everyday.
A supposed god would have to exist outside the confines of our physical universe, correct?
So if this was really the case then it is not possible for anyone to know with absolute certainty whether a god exists, because what is outside of our universe is unknown to every single human being on the planet.
Sure you can believe in a god, but it is most certainly NOT undeniable.

Quote:The way I see it, the void itself that the universe is expanding within is the god. In a way, nature.
So would you say that this void has consciousness? because if it doesn't then you need to be careful about what exactly you are labelling as god.

I like Chemistry best, I do study also Physics and Biology in school but since I'm not too good in maths my physics is weak (although I like astronomy if you could classify that as a part of physics), and I just find Biology plain boring (except for Evolution, I mean seriously... all these discussions about plant cells and diagrams put me to sleep :/).

Interesting, i actually find the other two the most interesting. Physics, because it is the study of matter and movement, which is essentially what our universe is. And Biology because it is the study of life, which is the single most amazing thing in our universe, from my point of view.
Chemistry for me is just a bunch of random letters reacting with each other in random ways Tongue Ala the periodic table of elements, what a bore! Confused Fall
Joking aside they are all equally as important, but i'm less attracted to chemistry, maybe it was just how i learnt it back in school.

DENY:
deny (dɪˈnaɪ)

— vb , -nies , -nying , -nied
1. to declare (an assertion, statement, etc) to be untrue: he denied that he had killed her
2. to reject as false; refuse to accept or believe
3. to withhold; refuse to give
4. to refuse to fulfil the requests or expectations of: it is hard to deny a child
5. to refuse to acknowledge or recognize; disown; disavow: the baron denied his wicked son
6. to refuse (oneself) things desired

If you deny something you do not have to believe that something yourself, it is what another believes. Therefore NO i don't have to believe in god to deny him, someone like YOU does the believing. I do the denying.

You can't deny what I believe, you can only deny what you believe. And to deny something follows an acceptance of it's existence. I can't deny an ice cream from you without you presenting the ice cream to me. We have no knowledge of the unknown, or it wouldn't be the unknown.
