You're right that some forms of Anglicanism look very much like Catholicism both in terms of belief and practice - they tend to be called "Anglo-Catholic". My church is the other end of the spectrum - low church (so very little "ritual" or liturgy) and pretty inclusive in terms of the range of views that people hold. We prefer inordinate amounts of tea, coffee and cake rather than sherry at my church, but of course we have our fair share of pillocks like any random group of people. :p Thanks tackattack!

Believe it or not, even a sulphur-smelling heathen like me has some friends who happen to believe in an Old Man in the Sky (mostly Jews and Christians, a few Moslems). And I'm glad you are not planning on preachin' on this particular hillock; I think the regulars are heavily vaccinated against most popular strains of bullshit.
