My wife received a private E-mail from another user here noting that "BethK" and "Anymouse" are posting from the same IP. Sock-puppet accounts are not permitted here (warning).
I suspect that this and other atheist fora have to put up with a bunch of folk creating sock-puppet accounts. For the record, BethK is a woman (I checked all over), and she is a different person. She is my wife, a rather evangelical atheist (she preaches the Gospel of Nothing), and drinks her coffee with skim milk. Ugh.
Anymouse, on the other hand, is a man (I just looked down there, yup, man), a Wiccan, and drink my coffee plain (the way Goddess intended it should be  ).
I use Windows XP on my computer, and regard Linux users as heretics. She follows the religion of Linux on hers, and thinks Windows users are heretics.
Her socks don't fit me.
She even types on a computer in a whole different room than my computer is located in. They just happen to be connected to the same modem. We don't normally answer each other here because we can speak in person.
There, that should clear things up.

I don't doubt you, nor do I think anyone does... but I thought that it was an automated message? 0.o I never can keep track of this rule/law stuff anyway

That isn't automated to my knowledge, we do IP checks all the time. Typically if you're going to post multiple accounts from the same IP then, I believe there's a stipulation in the rules to just let a mod know. Consider it noted.

That's what I get for posting without reading the rules. I hereby inform anyone who cares that BethK and Anymouse are really different people (really different), occupying two different bodies, and using two different computers (the only thing we don't share).
Our Christian neighbour across the street (who can't seem to accept that Beth is an atheist, which she cannot imagine any more than bicycle sex or vegetable athletics - actually I can imagine bicycle sex - I can even imagine vegetable athletics) wonders how we can possibly be married, and even living together, with such differing attitudes about religion. (We won't go into what she might think about mine.)
Explaining that marriage is a series of compromises, and we've compromised on this doesn't do it for her. "But she's a - - - and you're a - - -: how can you be married?"

Motorcycle sex on the other hand, afterall motorcycles are basically sex on wheels.

Well, motorcycles can be sexy, but I don't think I could have sex on one while it was moving. Or sex with one while it was moving. I don't think I can drive one anyway.

It wouldn't be a problem if you were two personalities sharing the same platform... but you would have to be distinct.
Just as two people sharing a transmission platform are distinct in that they are not one. That is how severe the personalities must be: different in that they are not the same. Even clones to a T differ in location, and thus is their identity unique.
What is not allowed is one personality posting 2 different accounts when it is itself not split. This is a facade, and is against the rules on those terms.
Or at least that is how it should work if the lawmaker can be trusted to understand identity in a way that is not colloquial

There is this Dutch saying which translates to "2 religions on one pillow, there sleeps the devil in between" (though in Dutch it rimes "Twee geloven op een kussen, daar slaapt de duivel tussen"). It portrays very well how some people think about marriages with 2 different religions/faiths or one that is without religion at all. The saying stems from a time where you only had 2 religions in our country anyway, Roman Catholic and Lutheran Protestant.
I find it very peculiar how this came about, its like saying that a vegetarian and a omnivore can't ever be married because of their different eating choices.
