Unfuckingbelievable.

RE: Unfuckingbelievable.
This is not surprising as a large chunk of the American population can't even pass the citizenship test that immigrants have to take. I've heard that a large proportion cannot even name the 50 states, let alone label them on a map.

Meh, by our current standards I'm fairly well educated, and I can admit that I get a bit fuzzy when it comes to the middle of the country.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Sometimes I get Alabama and Mississippi confused, but really, what's the difference?

More than twice the amount of consonants?

How can you find the modest prevelence of comparatively modest ignorance hard to believe, when you've clearly already absorbed the fact that our society is riven with such extradianry prevelence of extraordinary ignorance as signified by utterly disgusting fact that the majority of its citizens still identify themselves, in the 21st century with space travel and quantum mechanics, as the follower of a demented little 1st century preacher from the apocolyptic offshoot of a minor and very unpleasant little enthnocentric bronze age cult?

No volume or quanlity of stupidity uttered on any subject could surpass my immediate expectation once a person identifies himself as a christian or muslim. It's not that I think every christian is already stupid about every things. It's that if a person could truly embrace christianity, then that betrays the fact that he is has no real safeguard against embracing anything which is told to him and he finds comforting. As such he has nothing that really securely keep him from becoming stupid about all other things so long as the stupidity can bring a contented smile to his face or appear to him to resolve some inner angst. What he believes thus can be totally detached from any reasonable process of truth finding, and can be totally dictated by the capricious whims of his inner intellectual dis-integrity.

I admit that sometimes I don't get all the facts down, but at least I know Paris is the capital of France. But are you considering that no religion means smarter people overall? Thinking

RE: Unfuckingbelievable.

On the question of when America declared its independence, that would depend.

America is a big place with a lot of countries. The United States of America on the other hand, did it in 1776.

It is interesting to note that the Monroe Doctrine (Europe won't fiddle around in our backyard) only really lasted until the second country in America declared its independence, in the world's only successful slave revolt, Haiti. Dixie Representatives and Senators did everything they could to block recognition of Haiti for years, and even had Marines landed on the island, because they didn't want their own slaves getting ideas.

It is uncertain how many people, when deprived of existing religion as a means to indulge in their infantile contempt for intellectual integrity, will not simply embrace or invent another, like homeopathic medicine and new age wellness bullshit. But it probably would means there will be less inveterate, systematic and organized rabble rousing against efforts of people who do value intellectual integrity.

The same shit head also wave the bible which they haven't read and claim it to be the sole source for the sole truth which they already know.
