Thought I would check out the other Atheist Forums. You may have seen me around other places, too: FRDB, JREF, IB Islamic Forum, Ummah.com, or, very occasionally, at Christian Forums (as Dean Smith).

I organize the Freethought Society of the Midlands (FSM), a Columbia, SC group that I started in 2004. At the time I had knowingly met 2 atheists, one before I became an atheist. Now, many of my friends are atheists and I have no idea how many I've met over the years.

Hey, I used to live in SC in the Charleston/Moncks Corner area. I liked it, but to my knowledge, I never met any atheists there. I am the only atheist I know. Sad I had dinner tonight with a swell guy, who I probably would have considered banging, but he started talking about how Jesus meant everything to him and I pretended one of my kids was sick and ditched him.
