There are others who when they are young get master's and perhaps doctorate degrees in divinity. They think they could do some good in the world. When adult onset Atheism hits and causes them to question the things they have been taught, some of them can crash pretty hard. Imagine being so engrossed in a religion that everyone you know is a Christian Fundamentalist (cf) including your spouse and children. If you don't have any marketable skills beyond theology i supposed you're fucked.Angry Lynch Mob

As far as I know it, Christian fundamentalist bible colleges just feed their students their particular doctrine. Very little in the way of critical thinking is taught in those institutions.

In my experience for a lot of Christians, any studies they do in Theology and Divinity is a side thing, they often have qualifications and skills in other areas. For instance; one theological college (Moore College look it up) here in Australia requires you have needed have done a undergraduate degree to get into their theology and divinity programs.

Also there is the fact there is a high turnover rate in the "Christianity Ministry" profession. Either they get sick of ministry work or lose their faith.
