A departure for Cronenberg-no Freudian slip
I have liked some of his work, and this historical drama, starring Viggo Mortensen, Vincent Cassel, Keira Knightly and Michael Fassbender, looks good.

Odd premise. Weird self-reflections. Amusement since a book that reminds me of this is Dorian Gray.

Probably won't touch.

Oddest premises are the factual ones, often enough.

That said, he hasn't really done anything in his signature style since eXistenZ, but it seems to be working for him. It's a shame that he was working on this, though. I'd have loved to see how he would have tackled Breaking Dawn. Well, at least he's working on a film with Robert Pattinson. Maybe after that, we'll see if he can really act.

Ugh. The best thing that could ever happen to the Twilight franchise is for it to end. What sadsack, limp-wristed monsters inhabit those movies.

Yeah, well, just one more year, and it'll all be over.

That said, I still think that I'd like to see how Cronenberg would have handled the sight of Bella vomiting blood.

(I just hope that this isn't too graphic, but then again, somebody who looks at a thread about Cronenberg should expect something disturbing)

Because that would be more awesome than any of the other films would ever be.
