Spooky action at a distance
Research team claims macroscopic quantum entanglement at room temperature. Step one in phoning home from Kepler 22b.

RE: Spooky action at a distance
I still suspect that several decades from now, we would find that the underlying mechanism for spooky interaction at a distance is more exotic than we can imagine at present, and yet the exoticism allows casual relationship to be established.

RE: Spooky action at a distance
I suspect that if we figure out the underlying mechanism for spooky interaction at a distance we will have answers for questions we currently don’t know enough to ask. Wink

If they'd fired a photon into one diamond only to have it pop out of the other one I would've been impressed.
This, not so much.

RE: Spooky action at a distance
I'm thinking it's superposition. Here's some other shit they were doing: http://www.technologyreview.com/blog/arxiv/26270/ with entanglement and teleportation through time; 'course I'm not doing the work so it's easier to blue-sky it from here, wonder if they got it wrong.
