Not another force. You. Whatever 'you' is. We still aren't sure. But don't arbitrarily attribute agency to this. However, the things we are sure of tell us that what is likely true is that free will is not a real thing.
Also, take care to not appeal to emotion. Just because something would be nice, there is no reason based on that alone to consider that thing true.
Meaning, even if an illusion, is still important for us. Even if we only think we have free will, and we only think we have meaning, that doesn't mean that the consequences of thinking this way aren't as important to us.
