I wouldn't want to be immortal, but I would like a greatly extended life though. Say, 500 years, but fully mortal. That is, I can still die the same way anyone else can.
But even 500 years would likely render one grateful for death by the end of it. Hell, I'm not that smart, but if I could study math and science for 50 years straight, I could become an astrophysicist. Then I could spend another 50 years on just studying philosophy.
