Has the OP considered that they might be malware?
Well, I trust MathWorks (the company behind MatLab) not to include malware in their software.
Furthermore, ClamAV is well-known for having many false positives.
That's why there are commercial anti-virus softwares for Linux: because they have fewer false positives than ClamAV. Don't take my word for it, see how Avast advertizes its antivirus software to Linux users on its website.
