The 'First Nations' have some explaining to do
#27
RE: The 'First Nations' have some explaining to do
Again, if I haven't made this perfectly clear in each and every post....I think that the proposition has merit, but I would with-hold any degree of certitude until evidence is in hand.

Let me put this another way, using the example of who may have been the "first americans". Consider how long it took for the notion of an earlier migration to even be considered seriously. In this case is wasn't so much that we didn't have evidence that would lead us to question or conclusions (we absolutely did), it was the artificial certainty, the bets that the majority viewpoint felt safe in making, that directly contributed to hindering any serious investigation (and that's being generous, it would be just as accurate to say that those bets were the only factor in hindering our investigations).
I have a suggestion as to what kind of place we might look, just as proof of concept. Areas of land that were once sea level, connected to the sea, which have since risen, or where the sea has since retreated. We might expect to find something there. Such places do exist, even in the short geologic timespan that we're talking about.

Florida, for example, counterintuitively...(or more generally the SE US)
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
