Isn't that be the better thing to do? If the law is illogical or unjust: why follow it?
The basic rule is what can be done... and what can't. Built atop this are our individual jurisdictions. Why follow the jurisdiction of another when it contradicts directly one's own? How can illegality be frowned upon in the face of the unjust law? Do not the Americans support their previous 'Revolutionary War'?
Why encourage another to play the maid... when the self is the master of her will?
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
