How do they come up with that number? It can't be because the observable universe is 45 billion lightyears away from us.
They don't say 14 billion. Some may round it off to 14 billion but most don't. The age of the universe to 4 significant figures is known to be 13.72 billion years. The value calculated from the Hubble constant (which isn't exactly constant) is 20 billion years. Since that value was first calculated there have been many advances that refined the value to 13.72. I suggest you get your mommy to get a good book on the age of the universe and read it to you.
I very well know that I was rounding. I didn't know the exact decamal so I rounded does it really make a difference? My arguement still stands.
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
