Post 2138 of the thread "Where did the universe come from? Science not-biased toward intelligent design has no answer". [Sorry but I don't know how to imbed it properly.]
Very nice.

something started it. Unless you are in the nothing camp.
"Science" uses every solution to rule out "smarts" or "universe making a choice". The theists could use this knowledge. But then again, "science" doesn't do a thing does it? The easiest thing to rule out is "nothing" doing it. I think. Confused Fall

Uh, no. It is incredibly difficult to rule out that when the cause is pursued to the end, "nothing" did it.
The answer "God" did it, if parsed rigorously, is the same as "nothing" did it. Theists implicitly accept that nothing did it. They just assert one extraordinarily contrived, elaborate, totally unsupported, and anthropomorphic stages from infinite number of equally worthless possibilities between nothing and something. Science tend not to be more elaborate than needed. Nothing is needed between nothing and something, so science has no need for God or any reduced version of god.
Very nice.
