It does not address anything dealing with the cost of the healthcare itself. My premiums for my healthcare has gone up to 2500 as a deductible. Therefore the issue is still here, it becoming the same thing as auto insurance. They will start charging large rates and nothing we can do about it.
My business has gotten forced refunds from the insurance companies who had been gouging us. My employees also got refunds for their portion they were paying. Just FYI, it's working for some.
Personally, I'd rather have Medicare for all, even as a businessman. I'd be money ahead if they would tax me extra and I paid the tax with the premiums I would normally be paying to the insurance bastards.
For some I am sure, you got to have it work for a few so you can say it is "working". Unfortunately many are suffering higher rates and even cutbacks. One of the main issues here is that according to the bill. It is technically cheaper to pay the pentalty than supply insurance. Also, I think free healthcare (or inexpensive) is best way. I wished honestly cut our defense budget by 15 or 20% and use that money for healthcare and education for all. That way I know my taxes are atleast going for something benefitical.
I would be a televangelist....but I have too much of a soul.
