Is puking on it OK too?

I've been there since your first post.

Talking about fucking jesus as if it is true when you do not have a shred of evidence is pretty much stock in trade for you morons.

Your silly god is as unlikely as every other god created by the mind of man.

As yours was.

i would ask you why you are not doing more with a revelation from God than using it as a trump card in a theological discussion? then i would seek to verify your claim through the processes we have been given to verify your status as a prophet.

(You would be the first to make such claims)

I don't believe your message because I don't believe you. The reason being, you have zero evidence to back up your interpretation. You have no credit, I don't need to discredit you.

How would you verify his claims or discredit them? I can't wait for the answer to this one.

You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

So you would want some evidence. OK now we are making progress.

Now imagine it wasn't me saying that god had spoken to me. Imagine it was a book where someone had written that god had spoken to them stating that the flood was not a true story and I was saying that this book demonstrated that Noah did not exist. What would you say then?

So why do you need to hang around an atheists forum trying to justify your beliefs when it is just a matter of faith?

Because many of you have legitimate questions on this topic. I have spent the last four years teaching people like you who visit a Christian site looking for answers and seeking to challenge Christianity. There was one who was lost to the mods who started out harshly but eventually started asking honest albeit harshly worded and disrespectful questions. I respected his efforts and struggles for comprehension. When He was banished I decided to take off the training wheels and take my efforts to big leagues to help those like him who would not feel comfortable going to a Christian site. I also want to find and finish what i started with a Grumpy old man.

You're on the wrong forum then, he's on The Happy Atheist Forum.

"People like you"? Do you want to rephrase that, pal?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Whether the story is fact or not is immaterial. The thread is about the logistical impossibility of the effort portrayed in the Genesis 7 account. I simply redirected the conversation to reflect the intended purpose of the account citing it was not a matter of the efforts put fourth by Noah and His family. I even went so far as to say the Ark was not a boat, but the Faith Noah had.

Quote:We do not know if the story is fictional or factual, without factual evidence to back it up.
Again immaterial. As we are discussing the story recorded in Genesis.

Quote:Until you bring that factual evidence to the table, you might as well be imparting your clarity on any fictional work, like Aesop's Fables or Grimm's Fairy Tales...
which is exactly how I have approached this discussion. For instance you are were telling a butchered up rendition of Red Riding hood. where the grandmother and the wolf were friends, and the axeman went off the reservation and starting killing "people" and then the wolf somehow got to be a person as well, and red was a sham because of... whatever. Again I am only telling the story as it is written. Something you do not seem to be interested in, because you all like the rendition you have learn to mindlessly argue better.

Perhaps that is why Some of you have sought to take the discussion to a personal level so quickly. Usually this is the last result of the desperate or ill prepared. Apparently on this web site it makes a good first and second volley as well.
My question is if you bring out the big guns and miss, what do you do then?
