Hi all, I'm new and I believe in God. Don't worry, I wont start preaching at you Wink

I have lots of questions to ask atheists and I hope we can learn form each other.

Unfortunately I got off to a bad start with some of your members on the 'Chat'. I understand atheists may be somewhat hostile to theists as you must be sick of people telling you how much Jesus loves you or that you will burn in hell. However I am always polite and respectful, so please don't be mean to me.

Welcome! I'm hoping we can discuss in a civilised manner soon enough, as I'm always open to new ideas and ways of seeing something. If the reasons for believing it aren't there... Well that's a whole different story but it doesn't mean I won't listen!

I assume that your nickname, JesusLover is not a joke and that you actually do indeed love Jesus Christ. Love of course, is an extremely powerful word and is often misused.
I would like to know why you love Jesus?

I love Jesus because I believe he sacrificed himself for the human race and that he loves me and everyone else. I believe that he is the most perfect, loving being in existence and through accepting his love I can better myself and be closer to him and God.
