I think ghosts of some sort are more likely than gods. Ghosts are relatively undefined. God is over-defined. Someone could "prove" ghosts real by proving there is a phenomenon that makes people see things that are not there (already proven). To prove gods real, well, we have to change virtually everything that is real.

I used to be kinda into this stuff and live in a town that makes a shit ton of money in "Ghost Tours". Ghosts are not likely. A person dies with their brain dies, there is no "lingering image".

That isn't entirely true nor accurate. Although brain death is a legal indication of death in many jurisdictions what about an anencephalitic patient that has almost no brain?

Well, to be honest, everything that makes up a person is in the brain. When the brain dies, everything the person was dies with it. A person without a brain is just a body.
