You ought to read P Z Myer's critique of his experiences there in 2009: http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2009/...-museum-1/

Here's a hint-cum-spoiler:

Embarrassing to admit, but this is all too true; Portsmouth apparently, unless they've spawned another one. From what I can tell, and I admit I haven't watched this for some time, our version is to the Ken Ham <spit> one as our space program (two beardy blokes in a shed) is to NASA:

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Hey, imma take a moment to pump Kentucky btw...this place really is one of the beating hearts of the US. It's unimaginably gorgeous here, literally spilling over with history and culture, and if you need an excuse to visit go ahead and use the Creation Museum, but do yourself a favor......stop at the real attractions on your way in.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

You have no idea how beautiful the natural history museum is until you have walked though it at night with a full moon shining through the stained glass roof in the main hall, or in the closed courtyard of the offices. That building is one of the greatest architectural achievements of humanity.

Gimme the word brother, we'll drown ourselves in Julips and lose some money.

(also.....you should "tour" the bourbon distilleries....only truly american liquor right there. I've got some buddies out in Winchester too.....if that's your thing...lol)
