Crumbling under the stress of it all..

Most drugs of that caliber are stupid. Look at what meth does to people. I think when shit sucks so bad that you are about to stick a needle in your arm for anything other than a legit medical problem, you're not thinking of consequences.

All I can say is try to be alone as little as possible. When I get stressed about something, being alone lets me think about it too much, leaving me getting more stressed. Talking to people or doing tasks that you have to focus on 100% are good.

When you feel stressed, remember that you are the one who is in control of yourself and then just try to be patient with whatever that is causing your anxiety. Maybe that sounds too simple and obvious, but that's what the way that I prefer to deal with stress based on my own personal experiences. With time and patience, your stress and anxiety will eventually go away and then you will feel better. Of course, I don't think that you will be able to completely eradicate stress from your life once and for all. Nobody can. It's one of those things that will repeatedly come and leave, come and leave, come and leave, and so on. I think that almost everyone experiences stress though in varying degrees.

On the plus side, I've read that a little bit of stress can be good for you sometimes. It may cause you to stay more alert, occupied, and even motivate you to do better. So, that's a possible advantage. But, if you think that your stress levels are way above a moderate level, or extremely high, then you should probably speak to a psychologist or a doctor if you haven't done so.

Junkies won't even bother with codeine as it is too weak, and they would only use morphine if they can't get anything stronger. Oxycontin is the big drug for junkies, which is a medical grade opiate very similar to heroin in its effects, but it is very expensive. Junkies can put $80 dollars worth of it in their arm in one shot. I have a feeling the idea of combining codeine with gasoline came about because codeine is super, super cheap and combining it with gas created a super cheap, strong high. Junkies will do crazy shit to get high.

I actually find that when I'm stressed, having people around me makes me even more stressed out.

I'm not much of a people person I guess.

(sorry, thot perhaps a joke would help in some small way)

Better yet, get someone else to play with them-and everything else-a lot. Sex is a great offset for stress and anxiety. That and greasy Mexican food late at night afterward.

Thanks for all your responses. I appreciate the advice, and I did survive it all, obviously.

The trial went really well. We discredited my daughter's father. The judge caught him in numerous lies on the stand, and he failed a drug test for opiates and marijuana. I had to take a drug test this morning. If I pass, my daughter is coming home. I should pass it, so I'm resting easier today.

Wait, they told you specifically that if you pass a drug test, you get your daughter back? Courts outside of MA are so weird. Anyway, grats. Knew you wouldn't puke.
