I think it's amusing that you use the word 'retarded' to declare your lack of understanding or unsubstantiated difference in opinion.

Can anyone give me a scientific reason not to be a "believer"?

SURE - Dozens

Example - it is NOT POSSIBLE for a being to be ALMIGHTY and All Knowing

Where to start
How about Luke 1:37 NOTHING is impossible with god

THe claim is that your ALL Knowing god can do everything without exception

However - today I am writing a reply to a question you posed that I had NO prior knowledge of - nor did I have prior knowledge that I would YOU would post the question

Now - what can your ALL KNOWING god do that IT had NO prior knowledge of?

I have that power - and so do you - but your all knowing god CANNOT have that power - so it cannot be almighty

Now - if a god is ALL KNOWING - can it do something it other than what it already knows.

IF the god knows everything - past - present - and future - it can ONLY do what it already knows - to remain all knowing.

TO claim that these examples are meaningless is simply an excuse - either the god can do everything that is claimed or it cannot -
And the problem is that there are literally thousands of things that are "direct opposites" - that which the ability to do one - prevents the ability to do the opposite.

Take your bible - and read it from page one - and write down ALL the claims of attributes of the god. IT does not take much of a scientist to determine that they cannot ALL be true.

I would simplify it down to - "it's fucking made up".
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

There you go. Knock yourself out.

I learned nothing other than I already knew. Please, give me something useful. I feel like no one around here actually knows why they are atheist. It seems to me that its just a bunch of people with anti-religious sentiment talking about how much they hate religion for whatever reason. I don't see much real evidence for me to become an Atheist.
I'm quite knew on this forum but I'm beginning to see that the atheist here are hiding what they don't know by "anti-religious sentiment" as you've stated. I'm protesting, atheist should never have forums again.
