Sitting wondering what upset the tendon in my left foot/ankle AGAIN sometime between 6am and 8am, when I was asleep (I was awake around 5.30am (for a pee trip) and it was OK then.)

Hoping I will be able go hobble off to my favourite eatery for lunch on this bright, but bloody cold, day.

Do you have PF (plantar fasciitis)? If often get worse after periods of rest. Maybe you need to sleep with splint.

Got the tree I'd planted in a large pot (with the bottom knocked out) which then blew down in a storm replanted in the ground.  Way too big to lift by hand but with impromptu levers and rope, it is in the ground.  Damn that soil was tough.  Big rocks for the first 16 inches and then dense clay.

Don't think so, but thanks for mentioning it. Had problems in the tendons in middle of foot a year or so ago, this is a problen in the region of the inferior bursa at the bottom end of the Achilles tendon, at the back of the heel. That causes one to walk with the foot splayed out, pushing off on the toes tightens the Ach. tendon onto the inflamed bursa and that HURTS! "Pointing" the foot relaxes that pressure and pain

Trouble is that gait upsets other tendons in the side of the foot eventually. It is the second set that were playing up yesterday. It seems counter intuitive but my experience is that, though it can be painful to start with, regular gentle exercise, pointing the foot and "drawing a circle" with the toes, is certainly better than total rest. I do use a compression stocking or athletic ankle support to reduce the odema. If it is swelling in the main part of the foot I put the ankle support on upside down!

Hardly any discomfort at all this morning.

I think I drank too much Pepsi today. Or maybe I'm just over-stimulated. Having trouble winding down. I could take something for it, but I have no responsibilities tomorrow, so there's no harm in suffering a little insomnia. It probably would help if I got off the computer.

Went to my kid's school concert tonight.
I don't want to sound like a prick, but it was so fucking boring.
I won a x-mas hamper in the raffle, mostly full of girl's stuff.
That takes care of mum's x-mas present.
Pisses me off how many parents left after their child finished performing.
I was a bit disappointed that my girl didn't win the academic award like last year.
She's the only one in the class who goes up to the next grade's class to do Maths and English.
I think her behaviour had been taken into consideration, but really, she does get bored in class because she knows all the answers.
They won't let her skip a grade, even though she's the best in the class when she's in the next grade.
