It is quite a huge deal in my culture. In fact, parents are regarded as the kings and queens of households and kids are encouraged to just be obedient and then do what your parents want, including career and family choices. That's going overboard IMO. A lot of us think it's acceptable to have kids just to give your parents grandchildren. Anyway, I think people who underestimate parenthood are likely to end up being parents themselves.  Poetic justice in a way, XD.
More to the financial recognition PBB. Societally here a mother has no $ value yet a tree does? Phrases like "oh, you're JUST a mother what would you know" are also prevalent.

But I wouldn't know what to do without my little one. It's nothing but massive and large quantities of responsibility you're actually never ready for, so definitely put some thought in it. Little ElleBelle jr was a total whoopsie. |
