Actualy, being mentioned in the news as an unimportant side story is as far as it got them and probably as far as they wanted to go.
Maybe not that far. Maybe they wanted to go for national press, but anyway it unquestionably is a Fail before it even started.
Science is NOT Religion - and the fact that genesis is a religous belief that cannot be taught in schools as science is already established. Any lawsuit won't have any effect on that
Of course - a course on comparative religion could bring up beleifs - as long as no single religion dominated the discussion
It is not the state's job to indoctrinate people in religion - or a particular religion - and they will get nowhere trying

I dunno, I've always seen necroposting as a non issue that's dated back since message boards began, and rules should be done away with. Maybe there is a logical reason why many don't like it, but I've never figured out why. But I've thought the same about boards with a contradicting rule of "Don't start a new thread if the same one already exists, even if it is hidden 6 months in back pages." Ok, random thought over. Flame me.
What's the topic again? Oh yeah, Christian lawsuits. Any update?

I'm curious about this. Mostly because I don't understand the objection to posting in an old thread. If I started a new thread and lead with the same OP people would say, why are you making a new thread for this when we already have one.

My guess is because views change with time, some one responding a old my be just tackling a view I no longer hold or be replying to inactive members.

To be frank, it's somewhat subjective. Threads that have an ongoing theme like the music video one or Min.'s "fucking cops" are okay to post in even if it's been thirty days. Threads where a discussions have been raised and naturally petered out should be left alone and a new one started.
And when in doubt, look to see if there is a thread that is current on the subject you want to talk about, and start a new one if there isn't.
