No of course not, but it's the same principle that is applied - that of radioactive decay.

As all life is carbon-based, one would presume that carbon dating would work on all biogenic materials. Yet of course it does not, and the half-life of radiocarbon is 5,730 years (+/- 40), which means it can be used to date hundreds or thousands of years old, but not millions of years old. The limit is about 50,000 years or so, but that again would depend on the material being rich enough in carbon to begin with, other materials which can be reliably dated with radiocarbon dating may have much shorter upper age limits.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

I'm looking forward to finding out where you're going with this

Correct again. Do you have a example that is millions of years old that you wish to be dated?

It also depends on the primary source of carbon.

Detection limits. <- our limiter when it comes to using something like C14 for dating anything older than about 100,000 years (newer machines can measure quantities low enough to get ages up to that for C14 now).

It is an exponential decay, meaning that the older it is, the less C14 there is to measure. The less there is to measure, the more difficult it is to measure. And at some point, it becomes impossible to measure as it asymptotically approaches 0.

Moon Rocks, Dinosaur Fossils, Meteorites etc.

Well carbon dating certainly won't be any good then. The moon doesn't have an atmosphere and rock aren't organic. In the fossilisation process, the organic material is replaced with mineral deposits, so carbon dating is ruled out for that too.

I'm led to believe that other, applicable methods of radiometric have already been used to determine the age of such samples

Oddly, (or perhaps not-so-oddly) it is only creatards who seem to keep inventing problems with radiometric dating. Could it be that they have a vested interest in doing so?

Christians like to say their Bible was written by Manuscripts and that Jesus was alive 2000 years ago. Can I ask what evidence they have to support this claim?

Most Christians Reject Scientists that say the world is over 4,000 years old and we use carbon dating to work this out. Yet christians will use the same carbon dating of their bible to support their claim.

So which is it?

There are Christians who have trouble with some science including me, however I do not have problems with newer methods of dating because they are more accurate, yet none seem to be accurate past 50,000 years.

GC

The range of radiometric dating depends on the half-life of the element(s) being measured and their concentrations.
Carbon dating is only one method and it is not usable beyond about 60,000 years.

Follow the links, educate yourself.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

Yeah, he sounds real impotent important Worship

On a side note... I once dated carbon. I was hoping that if
I put enough pressure on her that she'd turn into a diamond.

Moon Rocks, Dinosaur Fossils, Meteorites etc.

Moon rocks = Argon/Argon dating

Dinosaur fossils = dating of the units which bound the layers above and below the fossil so as to generate a range of ages in which the fossil lived.

Meteorites = numerous types of dating depending on concentrations of the elements within it. (which varies depending on the meteorite type)
