Introducing The Universal Religion
RE: Introducing The Universal Religion
figure of speech, nothing more
'The more I learn about people the more I like my dog'- Mark Twain

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

"If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech

What you can have is a direct relationship with God through Christ the assured promise of forgiveness of all sin through his redemptive sacrifice and any religious institution built around it is optional but not necessary. It doesn't get more universal than that. There's nothing cultural about this it isn't for a select or elite group and you don't have adopt a code of rules and laws all that has been done away with.

Come all ye faithful joyful and triumphant.

St Paul when he set out on his mission to the Gentiles had a universal religion in mind, one for the entire human race not based on culture, nationality or race, available to all freely not based on secret knowledge and not based on privileged castes and wealthy elites. If you already have a universal religion to begin with there isn't need to fix what isn't broken. What you do is fully embrace the truth the way and the light of Christ. He did all the hard work so we don't have to.
Come all ye faithful joyful and triumphant.

Giving a shit might do you some good and lead to some improvement who you are and what you do that's the much of the idea behind spiritual faith.

Yes! Believing in a magical sky daddy who poofed the world into existence, on no evidence, would really help to improve myself.

I love TJ's takedowns of that idiot's, um, work!
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Would that be the improvement of becoming a habitual liar, like yourself, repeatedly demanding others prove a negative, or present evidence when you're unable to produce any of the "volumes of evidence" you claim to have?
