I think I'd tell my parents if they asked. My dad is more of a person who doesn't really care. He was force-fed the bible at some point. He knows a lot but doesn't put much into it. This helps me tremendously, knowing my gene pool is inefficient. LOL Anyways.. my mom, whom i love more than words, isn't exactly albert einstein on philosophy. One day it's jesus, the next it's long island medium, the next it's fortune cookies, etc. I enjoy them, deeply.

My family knows I'm an Atheist. I'm very open about it. I have 6 siblings. Both my parents are religious but none of my siblings are. Of course I'm also a self supported adult. It's easier to tell your parents whatever you want when they don't have any influence over your life.

My mother is on my facebook, where I'm listed as a Humanistic Jew. We never speak of it, but if she doesn't suspect, she's pretty thick.

I'm currently in the running to be VP of our atheist group, which occasionally requires news coverage, so I suppose it'll come out in the end.

My dad is two steps away from being a doomsday prepper. I don't much care what he thinks.

Mine already know. Then again, I was raised by a Catholic and a Protestant, and the Catholic is now more strongly atheist than I am, so...

Generally I identify myself as a Rational Agnostic, whereas one of my parents "knows for a fact" God doesn't exist. They've also battled cancer half their life, and don't consider it a gift from Jesus.

I took my mom out to dinner and broke it to her rather slowly. She kinda cried. Now we kind of joke about it. I'll take a stab at her and she at me.

I've never know my dad to have even the slightest hit of religiosity. I'm sure he wouldn't care one way or the other.

My fundie uncle...I'm still dreading the day he finds out lol

My dad passed away some 14 years ago. My mom knows I don't go to church but I'm not gong to tell her exactly why. She doesn't like getting into religious debates with anyone anyway.

Both of my parents are dead, so I won't be telling them any time soon.

I'm pretty sure both of them knew anyway and didn't give a shit - ah the beauty of living in Australia where no-one really seems to care Smile
