Indeed it does. And it is more than a "good read", it is an essential read! I carry my copy in my bag at all times. You never know when shit will go down.

I consider that one of Max's bit of bad advice. You ever tried head shooting a zombie and destroying the brain with a .22LR?
I agree with you CD ... and apparently, we're not the only ones. Zombie Article

Something definitely a LOT more powerful than a .22 - that's for DAMN sure!

I'm glad that I'm not the only Atheist here that owns guns. Now if 22 ammo was more available at decent prices.

Out of interest, how much does something like that set you back?
Depending on where you get one, it retails for between $320 to $350 US.
There are certainly cheaper .22 caliber rifles to be had, but the Ruger 10/22 is considered to be one of the top 3 rifles (of that caliber) you can own.
I think my Ruger 10/22 is the second or third firearm I got. The first was a 12 gauge Remington 870, the third or second was a Ruger Mini-14. Three decades later, I still have them and shoot them.
My 10/22 is the classic blued one with a wood stock. They're accurate and reliable. The Takedown looks very practical.

I am not the least bit worried about a zombie apocalypse. (What is it with zombies, anyways? Is it a metaphor?)
I am, however, prepared.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

The Ruger has quite a long enduring history. I'm absolutely LOVING the Takedown. It's an awesome little bag and no one even knows it's a rifle.

Well they wouldn't need to know would they? Hmmm? You're not planning on going out and shooting people are you? You're one of those "responsible gun owners" Right?!? I am right aren't I???

What I meant is, if someone sees this bag lying in the back seat of your car during transport, or a home invader sees it up on a shelf in the garage they will more than likely be uninterested in stealing it - not knowing that it's a gun. It's a secondary precaution (even though all my guns go in a safe). So yes, it makes me an even more responsible gun owner.

Also, a person can STILL be irresponsible even if they don't actually want to shoot someone. Adam Lanza's mother is a perfect example of that. (No doubt Nancy Lanza never wanted to shoot anyone, but she paid for her stupidity and irresponsibility with her life.)
Also, there's no need to imply that there's no such thing as responsible gun owners by putting those three words in quotations.
(unless of course you didn't mean it that way)

It's possible. Perhaps it's a cultural thing, and I miss the humor in the translation because there's no vocal inflection available in the text.
Whatever the case, I was never mad attchya Napo.
