you know what i have never met any atheist in my country so i dont have any idea what future it holds for me.. i know i will be rejected if i got married in muslim family Sad people dont marry outside their cast let alone in any other religion! i know i'll be pressurized to keep my mouth shut!Angry

It takes a lot of courage to be different where there is so much intolerance.
I hope you do find the right girl who shares your point of view.

I'm wondering how you respond/handle the conversation when you're being 'preeched at'!

Well, as atheism isn't a religion: you've got no problem there Wink

There is no sole 'right' person for anyone... in a population of ~7,000,000,000 personalities: there are bound to be quite a few similarities. Smile Oh, but don't trust the chances that someone other than you will find a good 'match?' for you... the only one who can dictate who you love is yourself.

Which Islamic environment are you from? Smile (edit: Pakistan, ah...)

Yup Pakistan but i love my country really much.. well if you live in Pakistan then you'll know that guys can do anything their way but girls are forbidden. like in same family son will be permitted to have a girlfriend but the daughter will be in big trouble if they find out her relations.
And as muslims cannot marry atheist in any way so i know in the end i'll be pressurized to say that im a muslim not an atheist!Angry

RE: hello!
A897,
Sorry about the gender mix-up.
So you're subjected to arranged marriage and to proclaim your belief in Islam??
What are going to do about it?!
You should get the hell away from there A897, but you'd have to be sneaky, they mightn't be so permissive of your opposing views while you're planning to leave the place. Only joking, I hope you see the funny side.
Will you end up following what you're told, or will you be a 'thorn in the side'??
Hope you can work out where your life is headed!

I live in Australia, and I'd be happy to ship you out here, except my financial situation isn't the best; if you can afford the visa and plane fare, I can accomodate you here, no worries Smile
