It is exactly for that reason we can see and experience supernovas as they were billions of years ago from our vantage point here on Earth. There is a good chance that the stars you see at night aren't there anymore.

Catchy much? Maybe could make that into a movie or something? When fr0d0 first turned up on these forums, he created a thread saying that *I* was "an oxymoron in a name". I am an Atheist married to a Catholic, imagine this household..lol. The one I get all the time is this "well they found Noah's ark in Turkey". No, they found a large chunk of wood on Mt. Ararat. Funny

Some sort of wooden structure is found on a mountain in Turkey and the religious whackos all start running around claiming they found Noah's Ark! I'm sure they'll all quietly shrink back into the woodwork when it's revealed that this thing could not have possibly been the boat used in the global flood fable. I suppose if some fossilized fig leaves were found, these idiots would be all excited thinking that Adam and Eve's wardrobe had been discovered...
