New Athiest Needs Help

OP, allow me to introduce you to the most powerful question we have in refuting theists: How do you know?

How does he know the universe could not have come from nothing? How does he know that there couldn't be an infinite chain of creators, and so on? Hell, more importantly, how does he know he's encompassed every possible solution to this issue?

Knowledge is demonstrated and not just asserted, so he's going to need to bring some evidence to bear, which he doesn't have. Nobody does, but the difference is that as an atheist I'm more comfortable just leaving that question at the "I don't know" stage and letting the evidence fall where it may. If someone else wants to assert things about something they can't possibly know about, then they'd better get all their shit together before they start spouting off assertions.

How does he know? The answer is that he doesn't, and his shell game relies upon you not figuring that out to work. Don't fall prey to the false dichotomy he's trying to introduce.

Just because you (and the others by cudos) say you are "more comfortable", doesn't reason anything. Not in the least.

You want to disprove God exists. That is your real goal. And this, when His proof has been in your faces all along!

So, I'm thinking you should be directing this hectoring at your religious leaders, who use the blind faith of you and many other millions as a shield to cover their hideous criminal activities.

Since we're quoting your Bible, let's try Matt 7:16 on for size, no? Remember, this is your god talking: don't argue, just listen:

16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.

19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

Were I a member of the Catholic Church, I'd be very worried. You are the fruit of a rotten tree. I suppose the real question is: is the tree your Catholic Church, your Christian faith, or blind faith in general? I'm inclined to think all three are bad trees, myself.

Insofar as the truth or falsity of your god's existence, there is no evidence, and this renders your gibbering irrelevant. Fool.

You can talk about that stuff all you want, if that's what interests you, but it still doesn't show what is beyond the edge of the universe. If I ask you what is beyond the edge of this city, I don't want you to talk about cosmological constant.

Where is this "edge of the universe" you're rambling on about? Is it the edge of the visible universe? Who says that's the end of it. No one can see past that point, not because it's a hard edge but because light hasn't had time to travel that far yet. As I understand it, there is no evidence to any edge to the universe other than that.

Show us an edge, or at least evidence of one. Until you can do that then shut the fuck up about it.

If it is proven that the universe was not created and always existed, it wouldn't disprove the existence of God or negate any need for God, but I would be willing to re-examine my beliefs if that were so.

Nope. No one's trying to disprove anything. We're waiting for you ass-hats to present some evidence, real, testable, verifiable evidence, that your gawd exists. Not one of you seems to be able to do that. Bare assertions, logical fallacies and bullshit is all any of you can ever present.
