If you can trust a credit card to be there for you when times are tough, you can trust God to help you establish an emergency fund as well.

Seriously, like, are you for real?

I mean, are you just trolling now or do you honestly, really believe all this bollocks?

Yeah, go ahead. Just just keep borrowing. Take out lots of credit cards and get that debt sky High. I'm sure your god's got your back.

I'm afraid god helps those who help themselves--yes I know it's not Biblical. This is a corollary to god doesn't exist. Wink

i guess ill help myself to another serving of atheism.

Credit cards and banks are un-Christian because they charge interest, and Jesus was very explicit on the matter.

Matthew 6:34, "Take no thought for the morrow...". The suggested model of christianity here cares naught for frugality, forethought or long-term strategy. The idea being that God will provide.

Given the evidence from christian countries where starvation is common-place, I'd suggest that you avoid this model.

What kind of emergency fund does god create?

A 'Christian' Should honor whatever God gives them as per the parable told of the talents in Mat 25. If we have been given money to save/invest for God then by God we ought to do that. If however we are to live day to day then that is how we are tasked to live. There is no one right answer here because the answer greatly depends on what God gives you.

if your worried about money and credit also god doesn't care about the wealth of his followers unless they are rich eye of a needle and camel and such. so why would god care if you have money if god is rich in heaven with palace.... or mansion depending on your flavor of christianity.

Parables are open to interpretation. Do you read the parable of the talents as applying only to what providence/god sends you in life, or do think it also or even primarily concerns what you should do with knowledge of god?
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
