I have an unpopular opinion about this. Atheism means you don't believe in god. But for atheism to be fully rational you have to reject the supernatural completely. If you don't believe in god but believe in the paranormal/supernatural, you are an atheist, but you are a very peculiar and irrational one

I'm very skeptical, there is no proven evidence by science that ghosts or any of the sort exist. Probably the only likely paranormal creature to exist is aliens. Things like wolfmen and vampires are unlikely, it would require heavy genetic engineering, not only that but they also have bizzare weaknesses. Most things are probably possible but nothing mystical could create it.

I agree. But usually supernatural deals with the unknown, once it becomes definable it becomes normal.

I believe a wolf man can be made in a lab, but I doubt that silver will do anything more then a regular bullet

Yeah, it comes down to definitions. I usually define supernatural to mean something we can never detect or measure, not just that we currently can't. But it's a slippery word.

Could be rats or birds or whatever. Not reasonable to automatically assume it must be something paranormal.
