Val Kilmer Illness

RE: Val Kilmer Illness
I believe it was also Asimov who said something like "The battle between science and religion was won the day churches began putting up lightning conductors."
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

He's an adult.

His choice.

Sympathies to his family.

Bozo-rays beamed to Val.

So, he can prove prayer doesn't work by admitting he's in pain? Awesome. Let me spend five minutes alone with the Pope. Devil

I remember seeing a news item back in 1996. The reporter was interviewing a lady preacher standing in front of the rubble that had been her church. Her statement still makes me Confused Fall "Thank God more people weren't killed."

We can prove prayer works. We just need one good and true Christian to pray for an end to war, an end to poverty, an end to disease, etc.

Oh, wait...

I completely agree! I must say though, that this becomes problematic if adults decide these things for their children. I think it should be called child abuse.

Oh, wait...

Doesn't gods top employee, the pope, do that all the time?

If not, someone needs to get this guy starting to pray day and night.

If they pray and the prayer doesn't work then they're not True Christians. Simple system.

That's where I draw the line.

If a parent refuses treatment for a minor, especially for a treatable illness, I believe the state has the duty to step in.

Too many kids have suffered unnecessarily and even died because of idiotic parents.

Kilmer has his choice of literally 10s of thousands of Christian schisms, and he fucks up and picks one that doesn't buy into cobalt therapy.

Jesus fucking christ!

Hell, even becoming a Baneemyite now would be better than staying a Christian Scientist.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Cancer is a blessing. His prayers spit on God's gift. He should be ashamed of himself.
