The Christian Scientists is one of the few religious movements started by a woman. Mary Baker Eddy gets the credit for that insanity. She believed that sickness is just an illusion. She did have a very long life so maybe she was able to pray away all of her illnesses. It doesn't seem to work for her believers like Val but they are still hanging in there.

Why would you consent to a medical procedure that would delay your meeting god? If I actually believed that bullshit I would be itching to die. I've met a couple like that, why would Val be any different.
I reject your reality and substitute my own!

He has to be wondering if his now demonstrably false religion pissed off God and eliminated any chance of Salvation.

Gee, Mary Baker Eddy is a cunt ? Whodda thought ?

Too bad Kilmer didn't figure it out sooner, like maybe when the chemo had a chance of working.

According to the wikipedia article on him, Kllmer has two kids

Quote:he couple had two children: a daughter, Mercedes (b. October 29, 1991), and a son, Jack (b. June 6, 1995). ,

They are both young adults but their father's refusal to seek care must be very hard for them.

I'd be suspicious of any Abrahamic derivative schismatic faith started by a woman.

Imagine Val's final hours of consciousness as death looms near; damn, the bitch fooled me !!

This is from his facebook page. He has gone to the hospital so maybe someone will convince him to accept medical intervention.

Sorry for the dramatic pause: Facebook froze my account for a bit, just as I was emerging from the hospital. Thank you all for your prayers, love and support. I'm so happy to say, the emergency that lead me to dial 911 is well over and I'm out of the hospital and in a safe healing environment. The doctors and nurses I met were wonderful and very respectful of my spiritual priorities and I can't thank you all enough for your professionalism and genuine care.

RE: Val Kilmer Illness
What kind of 'emergency' can a Christian Scientist experience that would require calling 911 ?

Isn't God on call 24/7/365 ????

Or did he join a union ?
