My takeaway from virtually every war movie I've seen is that if you find yourself in combat, do not -- repeat, do not! -- show any of your buddies a picture of your sweetheart.  The moment you do, it's just a matter of time . . .

The ultimate movie plot, as some anonymous Hollywood producer once described: There's a guy lost in the wilderness with a cork up his arse; and there's only one guy on the other side of the world who's got twenty-four hours to to find him and remove it before he dies of toxic shock. You'd be amazed how many films that fit this profile.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
