Creationist finds fossils, still not convinced

RE: Creationist finds fossils, still not convinced
Interestingly, the same people who state that their creationist interpretation of the evidence is valid, are also the ones who insist that any interpretation of their magic storybooks other than theirs is obviously foolishness at best and a satanic conspiracy at worst. They want to have their cake and ours as well.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

It's basically selective solipsism; everything outside of the bubble of what they want to be true is naught but fantasy, whereas everything inside is strictly true, because they said so. Only it's more frustrating than regular solipsism, because normal solipsists at least have the good grace not to demand that everyone else's reality is just a construct of their perception.

I think I've worked out where he's coming from.
He was certain that the fish was just something buried by a caveman's pet t-rex.

This way, everything stays nice and fuzzy and no belief laws were broken.
No God, No fear.

It's scary that people like the person in the news article exist. I'm sure other people are as worried as I am. So I guess his god is weak because Satan was able to put those bones in his garden to try and confuse him?

I'm quite surprised the guy didn't try and destroy it or hide it rather than turn it over. Props for that at least.

Probably thought there was coin to be had, what with the atheist/NWO/scientific conspiracy against god and all. Money just has to change hands in an arrangement like that, eh?

There is a good chance this is what he believes, back in the stupid days for me this is what we were told by the "leaders" of the churches I had gone to
